With a number of ways to design waste mapping and concrete successful examples being taken from around the world, industrial waste maps could become part of circular economy plans in which producers of waste are managing and reintroducing waste into the economy via resource loops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the EU4Environment programme, UNIDO supported enterprises in identifying new opportunities for the creation of circular value chains through industrial waste maps (IWMs) to raise awareness about the opportunities and benefits of a Circular Economy among enterprises, the government, and the civil society. Three pilot projects were conducted in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eu4environment.org\/app\/uploads\/2024\/12\/IWM-leaflet-Azerbaijan.pdf\">Azerbaijan<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eu4environment.org\/app\/uploads\/2024\/12\/IWM-leaflet-Georgia.pdf\">Georgia<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eu4environment.org\/app\/uploads\/2024\/12\/IWM-leaflet-Ukraine.pdf\">Ukraine<\/a> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In regards to the industrial waste streams, IWM strategies were presented for four major waste types: wood, oil, plastic, paper, and cardboard.
