{"id":14063,"date":"2023-07-27T08:52:00","date_gmt":"2023-07-27T08:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eu4environment.org\/?p=14063"},"modified":"2024-01-26T14:13:01","modified_gmt":"2024-01-26T14:13:01","slug":"sustainable-public-procurement-and-eco-labelling-in-georgia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eu4environment.org\/ka\/sustainable-public-procurement-and-eco-labelling-in-georgia\/","title":{"rendered":"Sustainable Public Procurement and eco-labelling in Georgia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP) changes the way in which our governments purchase goods and services, thereby driving markets towards sustainability and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With EU4Environment support, since 2019 Georgia<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>has achieved the following results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>SPP related provisions elaborated and integrated into the new Law on Public Procurement <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Governmental Decree on SPP drafted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assessments of the state of SPP and eco-labelling conducted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Products for SPP pilot tenders prioritised and sustainability criteria for these products elaborated (with a focus on cleaning materials and IT equipment)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assessment of existing public procurement practices and use of non-price criteria (for instance, environmental, energy efficiency etc.) conducted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Events<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A number of awareness raising events were organized at various levels to raise the issues of SPP and eco-labelling.
