To help unlock this potential, the EU4Environment programme has supported the preparation of eight eco-tourism pilot projects across the country in: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eu4environment.org\/app\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Alaverdi-eco-tourism-plan-ENG-final.pdf\">Alaverdi<\/a>\u00a0 |\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eu4environment.org\/app\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Dilijan-eco-tourism-plan-ENG-final.pdf\">Dilijan<\/a>\u00a0 |\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eu4environment.org\/app\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Goris-eco-tourism-plan-ENG-final.pdf\">Goris<\/a>\u00a0 | <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eu4environment.org\/app\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Ijevan-eco-tourism-plan-ENG-final.pdf\">Ijevan<\/a> |\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eu4environment.org\/app\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Kapan-eco-tourism-plan-ENG-final.pdf\">Kapan<\/a>\u00a0 |\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eu4environment.org\/app\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Tumanyan-eco-tourism-plan-ENG-final.pdf\">Tumanyan<\/a>\u00a0 | <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eu4environment.org\/app\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Vanadzor-eco-tourism-plan-ENG-final.pdf\">Vanadzor<\/a>\u00a0 | <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eu4environment.org\/app\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Vardenis-eco-tourism-plan-ENG-final.pdf\">Vardenis<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These pilot initiatives are based on eco-tourism development plans designed to help local communities, protected areas, and tourism stakeholders identify and develop sustainable tourism opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These plans provide a roadmap for actions that can generate socio-economic benefits and protect natural and cultural assets. The proposed initiatives aim to enhance visitor experiences, strengthen local tourism services, create new income-generating opportunities, and support small businesses in rural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eco-tourism can play an important role in local development by creating jobs, diversifying livelihoods, encouraging entrepreneurship, and increasing demand for local products and services.
