Management plans prioritize long-term conservation objectives, integrating international goals and national programs. The sites are categorized based on characteristics and management needs, but only 10.3 percent of Azerbaijan\u2019s territory is currently protected, emphasizing the need for expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emerald sites face diverse threats, necessitating site-specific assessments.
