Description

The signing in 2014 of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement and the adoption of the 2014-2017 action plan for its implementation (in particular, the Economic and Sectoral Cooperation section), as well as the approval of plans for implementing EU directives and regulations related to energy, environment and technical guidelines are all geared towards Ukraine’s transition to the European green development model. The Action Plan of the Cabinet of Ministers for 2016, which aims at supporting both strategic documents, contains a comprehensive package of tasks oriented to the green transformation of the economy in the country.

EU4Environment is helping Ukraine develop green economy policies, implement Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) in SMEs activities, promote green products, public procurement and eco-labelling, reinforce compliance assurance, assess and reinforce administrative capacity and develop Green Growth Indicators (GGIs).
