EU4Environment is looking for a consultancy to support Ukraine’s forestry sector in accessing climate finance and implementing carbon pricing. We are seeking firms with expertise in climate finance, carbon pricing, and MRV systems to help strengthen and build overall capacity of the State Forest Resources Agency and the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine on these topics.
Tasks include:
- Identify climate finance and carbon pricing options for Ukraine’s forestry sector, analyzing the benefits and challenges of each option. Provide recommendations for next steps.
- Assess the existing MRV system for the forestry sector, identifying gaps related to climate finance and carbon pricing. Recommend improvements to enhance performance and capabilities.
- Conduct capacity-building workshops on carbon pricing and climate finance, focusing on best practices for MRV in the forestry sector.
The ideal candidate should form a consortium with relevant local institutions, organizations, and experts with country-specific knowledge. Join us in helping Ukraine transition to a low-carbon economy and build resilience to climate impacts.
