8th meeting of the Expert Group on Best Available Techniques

The 8th Meeting of the Expert Group on Best Available Techniques (BAT), organised by the OECD, took place on 9-10 November 2023 in Seville, Spain.

Within this conference, EU4Environment organised an information sharing on BAT implementation with updates from the Eastern Partnership members.

The countries of the European Union’s Eastern Partnership (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine) have launched reform of their legislation related to environmental management of large enterprises. Several of them follow the provisions of the EU Industrial Emissions Directive as part of harmonising their legislation with that of the EU.
