Community action for conservation

Description

Communities play an important role in natural resource management. Building on past examples of community monitoring of illegal logging and actions in support of forest conservation and sustainable use by rural communities, EU4Environment provides technical assistance to support community-led actions in these areas and to increase the production and use of non-timber goods from sustainable management of natural habitats. It also advises communities on rural job creation and the diversification of economic opportunities and supports the Eastern Partnership countries in fostering community-to-community dialogue to replicate and scale-up results.
