Report launch and learning from Moldova’s experience

The launch of the report on “Identification of High Conservation Value Forests in the Republic of Moldova” took place on 16 February 2024 in Radisson Blue Hotel (Mitropolit Varlaam St 77, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova). The event was followed by a field trip to Nature Reserve Codrii.

The objectives of the meeting were to:

  • launch a new report on “Identification of High Conservation Value Forests and a Field Visit” and present key findings;
  • discuss the rational balance between management and conservation through ecosystem services generation;
  • knowledge sharing with a field visit to Nature Reserve Codrii.

Participants

The meeting brought together government representatives from the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries, EU institutions, IFIs, CSOs, academia, and the World Bank as meeting’s main organiser. In addition to these participants, the launch of the report on high conservation value forests in Moldova also included journalists and mass media.
