In Moldova, UNEP – the EU4Environment Implementing Partner – also continued its work with the Public Procurement Agency and the NGO EcoContact to review progress on Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP) since the EaP Green programme, and to draw practical lessons for future mainstreaming of SPP in the country.
Over the course of 2020, UNEP will engage national and international experts to draft governmental decrees on integrating SPP provisions into Moldovan legislation. Due to the EU4Environment programme, UNEP is also planning to deliver training webinars on SPP and eco-labelling in Moldova and Ukraine. The webinars will take place in July and will present the state of SPP and eco-labelling policies in the two countries – ensuring that future work of EU4Environment is well aligned with national needs and that roadmaps can be built accordingly.
