Estimates of how much Armenia will need to invest to reach its climate targets over the coming years can support Armenia in its budget plans, in its capital raising strategy and in providing visibility to investors on forthcoming investable projects.
The assessment shows that Armenia will need to invest at least USD 5.7 billion (AMD 2.7 trillion) in gross fixed assets to reach its climate action targets by 2030; USD 8.3 billion (AMD 4 trillion) if investments in nuclear energy goes ahead as planned.
The intention is to have this document as a starting point for discussion
amongst relevant stakeholders and to suggest ways in which the present assessment can be improved in the future.
