The third Eastern Partnership Ministerial meeting on Environment and Climate Change took place on 22 June 2021 in a virtual format.
The meeting reflected on progress to date on delivering the objectives in the Eastern Partnership and looking ahead on the post 2020 Eastern Partnership framework. Discussions focused on green recovery and financing the transition towards green economies and decarbonisation, on the climate and environment challenges ahead and how the Eastern Partnership can tackle these.
High-level speakers from EU4Environment implementing organisations (OECD, UNIDO, UNECE, and UNEP) intervened during the conference and highlighted an important role of the programme in supporting the Eastern Partnership countries in the green transition.
