The national reports were prepared under the activity “Regional Collaboration in Protecting Biodiversity and Ecosystems (the Emerald Network) in Eastern Partnership (EaP) Countries” within the EU4Environment Programme. The documents support partner countries in preparing the next version of their Emerald Network databases for submission to the Secretariat of the Bern Convention.
They present findings on progress achieved, the current state of knowledge, and remaining gaps related to the representation of Bern Convention species and habitats within the Emerald Network. The reports also summarize the analytical work undertaken to assess existing knowledge and identify priority areas for further research and action.
The documents are intended to support government authorities, scientists, experts, NGOs, and other stakeholders involved in biodiversity conservation and the further development of the Emerald Network.
