EU4Environment business case showcased in the UNIDO-EU Photography Exhibition in Brussels

The EU4Environment Action will be featured during the UNIDO-EU Photography Exhibition taking place this June in Brussels. The exhibition entitled “Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development: a boost to youth employment is organized in the framework of the European Year of Youth 2022 and is open to the general public.

The exhibition comprises two main events:

  • From 8 – 17 June outside the European Parliament: Rue Wiertz 60, 1047 Brussels (no registration required)
  • On 21-22 June at the European Development Days 2022, Europe’s leading annual forum on development: Brussels Expo, Avenue De Miramar, 1020 Brussels (registration required)

The exhibition (in English and in French) will showcase 20 projects around the world implemented by UNIDO in partnership with the EU, contributing to the empowerment of youth and the creation of jobs towards a more sustainable future. These stories highlight the impact of the collaboration between UNIDO and the EU in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals – in particular, SDG 9 “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure”, in transforming people’s lives, and in leaving no one behind.

Among these 20 projects, EU4Environment is also featured. The project can also be found in panel 16.  A launch celebration will take place outside the European Parliament on 14 June at 5:30 pm, with the presence of UNIDO Managing Director Fatou Haidara; and a closing ceremony will take place at the EDDs on 21 June at 6:30 pm, with the presence of UNIDO Managing Director Bernardo Calzadilla-Sarmiento.

All those interested to participate are kindly asked to contact Ms. Flora Demaegdt from the UNIDO Brussels Office (f.demaegdt@unido.org) for registration.
